Hey! You got some gravy in my zombie apocalypse!
StandardI just wanted to say a huge thank you to wild man of podcasting, mad genius, hilarious dude, and legitimately good guy Mad Mock from Z-poc Nation for having me on the newest episode, and playing a clip of us talking about baby rentals. I first met Mock as a guest on the Axehole’s Lounge I did with Axeology a little while back and just about fell out of my chair when Z-poc Nation returned and he mocked the spelling of my name and called me a “communist” and referred to us as a couple of “fat, f*cking monsters,” Mad Mock gets it. He is a larger than life personality, like the best in talk radio, he is a podcast giant. We talked a bit about comics, Captain America and all that good stuff. Also on this episode Mad Mock, “Dooms” Dave, and Professor Paige run through the zombie apocalypse survival bracket along with more classic radio drama. Go check it out! You can find the episode on Stitcher, iTunes, and podomatic. Also go check out the Z-Poc Nation YouTube channel. Thanks again,
-Kris
Let’s make Chewler happen folks!
StandardThere is a new Kickstarter going on for Chewler a new book from friends of The Gravy Age David M. Brown (author of the creepy Obscura, that I loved) from Fifth Dimension Comics, with art by the brain-melting Shannon Gretzon from Exspastic Comics (that I interviewed here) and letterer Sean Fagan (who… isn’t Donald Fagan from Steely Dan? I didn’t think out this parenthetical ahead of time). What’s not to love about this book? Nazi’s? The internet loves those! I dare you to get into an argument online and see how long it takes for them to get mentioned. Aliens? Look, if you don’t know they run everything. Clones? Everybody wants a clone, but one that’s just dumb enough to go to work for you, because face it, it might rain out there and you don’t want to put on pants, besides, Rockford Files is on. Go check it out though folks, let’s make this a thing.* You can go check out the Kickstarter for Chewler here. And stay tuned for a review of Chewler, coming soon!
*Not a thing like we made Limp Bizkit, I was there, you were there, we all just stood by and let it happen. Jesus people…
The Horror Of Loon Lake Kickstarter is live!
StandardIt’s all the way live kids. Go check it out, The Horror Of Loon Lake, it just went up today, and we can totally make this happen folks. Go check out the interview we did with Carl here and don’t forget that Smell A Rat is included in this project, which has a ton of cool stuff from a ton of cool people, including Stan Chou. Oh and remember in my Smell A Rat review I said I should write some sort of John Carpenter style opening credits music for it? Guess what makes an appearance in the video.. Although, in my head I keep thinking “Damn I didn’t master it!” Anyway, go check it out! It’s an awesome horror anthology, with a bunch of great artists involved. Toodles!

Hey Axeholes, check this out!
StandardFriday night I participated in my first multi-podcast hangout with Adam & Bryce from Axeology Guitar Radio, and a ton of other cool folks. When I say jump I want everybody in this place to jump.
Jump!
Cool Stuff, Yo
StandardHi teens, just wanted to stop by and say hi, and say thanks for listening and reading, and give a couple shout-outs to some cool folks.
First off, big thanks to The Game Huntress for all the RT’s and sticking with the show, and pointing folks are way through her blog. She talks games, movies and assorted geekiness here. I dig her interviews too, may have to do one.
Not necessarily geek related, but go check this Etsy (Rags & Old Iron) shop run by a friend of mine for some really cool prints, earrings, necklaces. Good stuff for horror fans too, tell her Kris sent ya.
Like X-books? Especially Claremont era X-books? Go check out the Gentlemen Of Leisure for issue by issue reviews of X-Men, X-Factor, New Mutants, Excalibur, as well as TV and assorted other stuff, You can kill hours upon hours here, I have and do frequently.
Like trying to explain continuity errors in comics. Or reading other people do it for you in extremely well researched theories? Go give How Would You Fix..? a read. Great stuff.
And last one for today, I doubt he needs any introduction, but go check Too Dangerous For A Girl, where Martin Gray does great reviews of comics, mostly DC, and is just a super nice dude. He is one of the reasons I wanted a blog in the first place, so go visit one of the best.
Just wanted to say thanks to some cool folks, and point you guys (and gals) to some cool sites. Thanks again.
-Kris
