I went from never having read The Walking Dead a few weeks , to reading the first two compendiums.
I know I tried to avoid it forever, probably willfully on my part, but I was foolish in that respect. The
second compendium felt a bit slower than the first one, and I think that is fitting as the characters are settling into this world. The thing really that sticks with me is everything about Carl. His injury, his complete loss of childhood. That stuff truly is heartbreaking. It looks like things were just about to pick up when this volume ended. Crap, I am sucked into this book. Kudos again to Kirkman and Company.
