I posted the preview of Unit 44 #4 a little bit ago and would’ve gotten this up sooner, but I had to pack a bag for my youngest to go spend a little time with her Grandpa. Anyway, let’s dive in shall we?

Unit 44 wraps up in the fourth and final issue of the series, and it does it in the fun, funny, and perhaps even sweet tone that this series has had all the way through. I don’t want to get too deep into things, since I don’t want to blow the last issue of the book, but it does so in a way that works as an end to the series, but certainly leaves the door open for Hatch and Gibson to return. I hope they do.

This is a fun, lighthearted, sci-fi series. This is a book I can share with my kids. If you want mind bending, hard science, or dark explorations of the shadows, where conspiracy theories tell us we are ruled by lizard people, Stevie Wonder can see, Brad Pitt is a woman, 9/11 didn’t happen (it was holograms or something) this isn’t the book for you. If you want a fun mix of aliens, buddy cop action, and goofy, unapologetic fun, then by all means check it out. All four issues are on ComiXology now so you can pick up the whole story here.
